Therapeutic Modalities & Techniques

We utilize a combination of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to provide effective treatment for our clients.

Below is a brief overview of some of the techniques we incorporate into our services:

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT is a mindfulness-based approach that helps individuals develop psychological flexibility by accepting difficult thoughts and emotions while committing to actions aligned with their self-identified personal values. These actions are believed to help the client build a fulfilling life.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a widely recognized and extensively researched therapy focusing on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through CBT, we help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and develop healthier coping strategies.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

DBT helps patients become more effective in their lives by building healthier relationships, managing very intense emotions, and improving self-image. This approach emphasizes mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness skills.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

ERP is a specialized therapy that desensitizes patients to their fears and anxieties. Through safely and gradually exposing them to the source of their anxiety, clients learn how to manage their emotions with coping skills that also help to eliminate any unhealthy safety behaviors.

Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is a technique originally created to help clients with traumatic events that can now be used to help a variety of symptoms. It utilizes bilateral eye movements to help the brain reprocess difficult situations to reduce the associated distress and improve functioning.

Positive Psychology

Positive Psychology is a form of therapy that focuses on individuals' strengths and positive qualities. It aims to help individuals reach their full potential by building resilience and finding greater meaning and purpose in their lives.

Solution-Focused Brief Psychotherapy (SFBP)

SFBT is a goal-oriented, short-term approach. The therapist collaborates with the client to develop an action plan to lead to positive change. It emphasizes solutions rather than problems and focuses on the present and future rather than the past.

Trauma-Focused Psychotherapy (TF)

TF provides a safe and supportive environment to process and work through traumatic events in their lives. Individuals will gain an understanding of their trauma, build new coping skills, and heal from unresolved symptoms.

Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy (VRET)

VRET is a cutting-edge approach that immerses individuals in simulated environments to confront and overcome their fears or anxieties. By safely exposing clients to triggering stimuli in a controlled virtual setting, this innovative therapy helps desensitize them to their triggers and build resilience.
